Speymill and Merlin Entertainment hired us to replace the existing Gorilla Closure at Chessington Zoo with a brand new African reserve called Wanyama Village.

Work was completed in four months
The project started with us demolishing the old gorilla enclosure to make way for the new attraction. We then formed a large feature pond to the centre of the area, paved walkways and formed the foundations for the new animal enclosures.
The work even stretched to constructing an underground viewing tunnel for the meerkat enclosure which would allow visitors to experience the enclosure first-hand through a clear viewing bubble that protruded from the ground.
Finally we hard landscaped the enclosure, which entailed the application of specialist soils to create natural habitats for the animals.
