Hired by Linbrook Services to complete maintenance work at Chafford Hundred Station over the 2009 Christmas period, our team worked around the clock to install 420 new coping stones to the entire platform.

Linbrook services needed to replace all of the coping stones (420) of the entire platform of Chafford Hundred Station over the Christmas period. Work started on 29th December and took our team just 72 hours working around the clock to complete the job.
The existing coping stones were installed as part of Lakeside Construction, but were not to Network Rail specification and had to be changed. We removed all of the Coping stones, broke out the bedding and replaced the stones with new on fresh bedding. We then applied mortar and mastic pointing to the joints and reapplied the white line to the edge of the platform.
